Hello.... Is this thing on.....

Okay, so lets be honest here....

I was pretty fail at posting this month. And that's not because I don't love whoever reads this blog. I do, because well, at least I'm not typing to myself.

However, it's hard to juggle a sick kid, sick husband, sick self, plus get blogging done.

So here's what I've been up to...

I've made a whopping $17 on google adsense. I was actually kind of excited about that, then I went to the google adsense website and seen that you can only receive a check after you've made $100.

Looks like I have a long way to go.

I haven't been active on Mturk or Swagbucks. But there really has got to be a better way to make money. It has to be possible. I know it is....

right......

Day 2: Hi-Ho, Hi-Ho, it's off to mturk I go.....

Day 2 has been much more disappointing than day 1. I don't know what I was expecting from google adsense, I guess I thought I'd make something over night. But no... nothing... not even $.01.

So today, I've continued mturking. I've made a whopping $1.45. Now, all my hits haven't been approved yet, so I'm hoping that number goes up.

There has to be an easier way to do this. I know people keep recommending selling insurance from home, or health supplies, etc, but I really don't want to have to deal with that. I don't have time to sit around making calls all day and hoping someone buys from me. I need to be able to do a task knowing I'll get paid for it.

I'm hoping I have some readers out there now. If I do, can you at least say hi. I want to know I'm not talking to myself.

I guess my mood today is discouraged. Now that my daughter is in bed I'll start searching for legitimate work again. If I find something, I'll update here.

Have a good night everyone.

Day 1: Google Adsense & Amazon Associates

Since I'm creating a blog anyone, maybe I should try to make money off this too. Blogger.com offered me the option to "monetize" my blog.

First up was google adsense. Signup is pretty quick and painless. It looks like they'll put ads on this blog and I'll get paid per click. Obviously not a get rich method. But every $.01 helps.

Second was Amazon Associates. It appears that they put a small search box here on my blog, if anyone uses it to link to amazon and then buys something, I get 4% of the sales price.

Easy enough to sign up. I already had an amazon.com account so the process took only a few seconds.

Day 1: Mturk & Swagbucks

A friend recommended Mturk to me a few weeks ago. So I have some experience with this one.

http://www.mturk.com/

It's free to sign up and use. It isn't a pyramid sceme, or a "refer a friend and profit" deal either. It's companies/individuals posting jobs they need done.

Most jobs pay $.01-$.05 per "hit". To be honest, this is almost like an online sweatshop. Companies paying $.05 for a 300-word article. But, as long as there are people willing to do it, they'll keep their pay outs low.

I've done a lot of hits for Dolores Labs. They pay a little better than most hits and approve the work quickly. I would look for these hits if you're just starting out.

Don't go into this thinking you'll make a fortune per day. It just won't happen.

Next up is Swagbucks. This is a new program to me and I've never tried it before.

SwagBucks

It looks like you don't earn actual money but you can gain points and purchase gift cards to stores you would go to anyway. You can earn gift cards to places like Amazon.com, Target, iTunes, Restaurant.com, Travelocity. Lots of good places. You can also earn different items like jewelry, kids stuff, mp3 players. All of which can be sold on Craigslist or Ebay for money.

They give you 30 points to sign up. Then you earn points by searching the web, taking the daily poll, and playing games. One very cool way to earn is to print coupons. When you redeem them in the store they will notify swagbucks and you can earn that way.

I'm not proficient enough with this program to say if it is worth using, but I do hear good things.

Day 1... It begins...

I've never written a blog before, so have patience with me.

Before I get to the reason of my blog, a little about me:

I'm a 26 year old mom of 1. My husband works but I'm always looking for ways to suppliment our income. The truth is that kids are expensive and I want my daughter to have everything I never did growing up. So, instead of putting her in daycare for $200 a week and going to a 9-5 job, I'm going to see if I can make full time income working from home, during her nap time and bed time.

Understand that this is an honest attempt to figure this out. I'm not selling anything, or asking you to buy a book etc. I have no clue what I'm doing here. Except that I want to make $100 a day working from home.

I have 0 followers right now. I hope that changes soon. I want motivation, someone to kick my behind when I'm slacking, and people to share my triumph when I succeed.

I'm also hoping I can inspire poeple to do the same. Time with your children is priceless. I refuse to sit glued to my computer all day. I'll be working around my daughters sleep schedule. So, if I can do it... so can you!

I'll be posting step by step, exactly what I'm doing. I'll post my earnings and where I'm getting them. I hope this motivates me to get my butt in gear and get earning!

Thanks for following me everyone!
